KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 12th July were: 1st: Emer Wallace & Nicho0las Flavin; 2nd: Phi9lip Brennan & Myra Hickey; 3rd: Mary Delaney & Margaret Dunne. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome and partners will be provided if necessary.

CEMETERY MASSES will be celebrated as follows: Kilree cemetery on Wednesday 19th July and Dunamaggan on Friday 21st July. All masses will be at 8.00 p.m. As usual the weather was fine for the large attendance at the Cemetery mass in Kilmoganny last Friday.


L’ARCHE MORNING TEA IN GARDEN: L’Arche Kilkenny is organizing a fundraising Tea Morning in their garden in Kilmoganny and they need bakers who are willing to donate some home baking for the bake sale. The event will take place Friday 21st July from 11.00 a.m. The charity is also looking for prizes for their raffle. If you are interested in being part of it, please contact Veronica Hogan-Lee at 086 8462878. Please come and bring a friend.


KILMOGANNY AUGUST WEEKEND FESTIVAL: Tickets are now on sale for `Wedding of the Year` in all usual local outlets. The cost of  tickets is €15. This includes the Wedding Show, Barbeque Buffet and 5 piece Band `Vegas Nights`. Admission to Band only at 10.00 p.m. is €5. Raffle tickets are also on sale at Kilmoganny Post Office for `Barbeque, Hamper and Bottle Whiskey. Kilmoganny Festival commences with a 5k Family walk through scenic area in Kilmoganny at 4.00 p.m. on Saturday 5th August. The entry per family for the walk is €10 with refreshments served later. Individual entries is €7. On Sunday 6th August at 11.45 a.m. there will be a Vintage Parade of cars and machinery etc. through Village down to Kilmoganny Pitch where they will be on Display This will be immediately followed by Children’s fancy dress parade. At 12 noon a Juvenile Football Match will take place which will be followed by Juvenile Hurling Match and at 3.00 p.m. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of  Dunnamaggin`s 1st and only Senior Hurling Championship win, the great Team of 1997 will take to the field once more to take on Dunnamaggin’s 2017 team. Who will win? Will they beat the Champions? There will be a Dog Show at 1.00 p.m. Other events include Bouncy Castle, Music, Barbeque, Games and Tug of War at 4.00 p.m.  Stalls are welcome.
