KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 8th November were: 1st: Jackie Kenneally & Rita Townsend, 2nd; Nellie O’Shea & Philip Brennan, 3rd: Mary Dunne & Betty Cuddihy. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome.

DUNAMAGGIN HURLING CLUB A.G.M. The Annual General Meeting was fixed for Friday 1st December at 8.00 p.m. in St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunamaggin. The Kilmoganny Football Club A.G.M. usually precedes it on the same evening.


 


KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: The 40 x 20 Golden Gloves Tournament was held in Belfast and in the Men’s Open singles Peter Funchion (Kells) defeated Michael Hedigan (Cork) but was defeated by Colin Crehan (Clare) and Patrick Funchion (Kells) defeated Paul Moran (Kildare) but was defeated by Robbie McCarthy (Westmeath). Brian Manogue (Kells) competed in the Men’s A singles. In the Adult Junior Club Leinster Final Kells team of C.J. Delaney, Eoin Brennan, Colin McKenna, Conor Condon and Michael Power were defeated by Tinryland, Co. Carlow. Hard luck but well done on their silver medals. In the County Juvenile Wall Ball competition, Kells representatives were in U12 Joseph Prendergast, U13 Harry Delaney, who was defeated in the final, in the U14 Matthew O’Sullivan and in the Girls U12 Katie Grace.

The Rabbit Industry in Ireland by Mr Michael Conroy on Thursday November 30th at 8.00 p.m, in Mullinavat Parish Hall. Admission is: €5 (members and students free). All are welcome
