KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 14th March were: 1st: Nicholas Flavin & Josie O’Gorman; 2nd: Grace Landy & Elizabeth Lanigan; 3rd: Nellie O’Shea & Philip Brennan.  Visitors are always welcome and it is not necessary to have a partner. A Charity Bridge night will be held on this Wednesday 21st March in aid of St. Joseph’s Care Home for the Elderly in Kilmoganny. The starting time for this event will be 7.30 p.m. Visitors are very welcome to support this worthy cause.

COFFEE MORNING in aid of the Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team will take place in St, Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny on Friday 23rd March from 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 Noon. Your support would be appreciated.


 


FOLK REVIVAL presented by Paddy Fitzpatrick featuring a revival of ‘60’s music of the Dubliners, the Clancy Brothers etc in aid of the L’Arche Community and Kilkenny Football Club will take place this Friday in the Set Theatre, Langton’s at 8.00 p.m. The doors open at 7.00 p.m. and admission is €10.


 


CAMOGIE REGISTRATION: Windgap Camogie Club registration will take place in the Windgap GAA Club Rooms on Sunday nest 25th March from 11.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. A Cake sale will take place on the morning of registration. For further details contact any committee member.


 


SNOW RETURNED ensuring that there was a bright dawn to Sunday last. While the intensity of the snow fall was much less than two weeks ago yet it made travelling and walking hazardous.  As the day progressed the white colour began to vanish from the roads but instead of green fields there was a white landscape.


 


HOLY WEEK CEREMONIES: Easter is now less than two weeks away. The Holy week ceremonies will be in St. Eoghan’s Church at 7.00 p.m. on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday. The ceremonies wi9ll be in St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan at 8.00 p.m. on Holy Thursday, 3.00 p.m. on Good Friday and at 9.00 p.m. on Holy Saturday. On Easter Sunday the 11.00 a.m. mass will as usual proceed the annual Pat Walsh parade and ceremonies.
