DUNNAMAGGIN ABÚ
Dunnamaggin Junior team left it to the last 10 minutes to overcome Castleblayney and lift theAll Ireland Junior cup at Croke Park on Sunday. The final score Dunnamaggin 1-17 Castleblayney 1-13. The team had their fans on the edge of their seats and their heads in their hands as wide after wide whistled past the posts in the opening half. But the team came out fighting and the last ten minutes of the game saw Dunnamaggin triumph over a valiant Castleblayney. Congratulations to all the panel and man of the match John Fitzpatrick, you have done Dunnamaggin proud, celebrations will continue all year.


KILMOGANNY OPEN MIC
The next Kilmoganny 'Open Mic' will take place at 8.00pm Thursday 21st February in the Kilmoganny Hall. All who have a song to sing, a story to tell, a poem to read or an instrument to play are welcome to take part. Anyone who would like to sit back, relax and to listen are also welcome.
The evening ends with a cup of tea and a chat. There is no charge.


THE KILKENNY'S IN DUNPHYS
A night to watch out for. Irelands No 1 Folk,Trad and Ballad group ``The Kilkennys`` are coming to Dunphys Pub ,Kilmoganny on Saturday Feb 16th 2019. Commencing at 10pm, admission is €10.



KELLS HANDBALL CLUB REPORT for 10th February 2019
In the Juvenile U10A Doubles 40 x 20 championship Darragh McCormack/Matthew Corr (Kells) defeated Josh Lalor/Robin Downey (Clogh) in the first semi final; Jake O’Neill/Lorcan Mahony (Kells) defeated Sean Kavanagh/Joe Dowling (Talbots Inch) who had overcome Kilfane in their earlier round, in the 2nd semi final in a close encounter 11-8, 11-10 to set up an all Kells Final. In a great final which had everything including shots and rallies, Jake O’Neill/Lorcan Mahony (Kells) overcome Darragh McCormack/Matthew Corr (Kells). In the BU11A Doubles 40 x 20 Championship Paddy Cuddihy/Jason Lafford (Kells) were defeated by Robbie Jackman/Michael Saunders (Windgap) and Timmy Corr/Mattie Murphy (Kells) were defeated by Dan Carroll/Samuel John O’Shea (Talbots Inch) in the semi final.

In the girls U10A doubles 40 x 20 championships Molly Cunniffe/Ena Hickey (Kells) lost out to Windgap in the Final which went to a thrilling 3rd game to separate them on a score line of 11-9, 9-11, 11-6. In the GU11A Doubles Shauna Mahony and Molly Cunniffe represented Kells. Well done to all participants.



PPN St. Patrick's Day Parade Grant 2019
We have seven weeks to St. Patrick’s Day Parade and some groups in Community, Social Inclusion and Environment may be planning to take part in the Parade here in Kilkenny. Last year some groups availed of the PPN St. Patricks Day Grant of €200 per group. We are delighted to be able to offer this grant again this year to members of the PPN.
