Kells Handball Club Report to March 31st 2019



 In the Juvenile 40 x 20 All Ireland Final, which was played in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, the BU15 Doubles Harry Delaney (Kells) and David Sherman (Galmoy) overcame Cathal O’Laoire and Dara O’Laoire (Galway) on a scoreline of 15-1 15-4.  Congratulations and very well done.  Your Club and County are delighted with your achievement.


 



In the semi finals of the BU11 B singles Timmy Corr (Kells) lost out to Conor Buggy (Clogh) and Daniel Darwick (Kells) defeated Zak O’Halloran (Windgap).  In the final Daniel Darwick (Kells) lost out to Conor Buggy (Clogh).  Congratulations and well done to everyone who participated in the League.



 



In the Juvenile Leinster B 40 x Championships, in GU13 B Singles Katie Grace (Kells) defeated Dublin in the semi final but lost out in the Final to Orla Brophy (Dublin).  Congratulations on your silver medal.  Well done.




Kilmoganny Bridge Club Results 27/03/2019  1st: Grace Landy & Elizabeth Lanigan: Best Gross: Mary Delany & Margaret Dunne: 2nd: Alma & Eamonn O'Neill: 3rd: Mary Lonergan & Kathleen O'Shea. Bridge is held every Wednesday at 7.20pm sharp in St. Eoghans Centre, Kilmoganny. All welcome.

Our Charity Bridge Night will be held Wednesday 10th April at 6.50pm sharp. All are welcome to come and support our Benefit Night.

Annual Coffee Morning in aid of Carlow Kilkenny Homecare Team will take place in St Eoghan's Centre, KIlmoganny on Friday April 12th from 10am to 12noon.  All donations of cakes welcome. Raffle on the day.  Please come and support.

NATIONAL COMMUNITY EVENT- THE BIG HELLOMay Bank Holiday weekend (4-6 May) 2019.  Launch of small grant scheme to support communities to participate  in the Big Hello weekend event.  Local Communities are encouraged to come up with ideas for events in their areas. Events could be centred around food, sport, the environment, health or culture.  The event is a celebration of the great spirit of community that exists across the country and an effort to help people who share communities to come together, get to know each other and deepen their sense of community spirit.
