Kilmoganny Bridge Club: Results from February 2nd 2020: 1st Tina Ronan and Josie O'Gorman: 2nd Jackie Kenneally and Rita Townsend: 3rd Carmel O'Sullivan and Emer Wallace: 4th Ellen Delahunty and Philip Brennan. Bridge is held every Wednesday night at 7.20pm sharp in St Eoghan's Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
Kells Handball Club Report to February 16th 2020: In the Adult Leinster 40 x 20 championships in Junior C Singles Cillian Lawrence (Kells) lost out to Liam Murphy (Wexford); in Junior B Singles Donal O’Farrell (Kells) defeated Eoghan Doheny (Laois) and Ryan Grace (Kells) lost out to Tiarnach Doheny (Laois).


In U21S Billy O'Neill (Clogh) defeated Conor Murphy (Kells); also in U21S Eoin Brennan (Kells) defeated Daniel Farrelly (Meath) and in the Leinster semi final he lost out to Ben Devlin (Louth); in Intermediate Singles Brendan Burke (Kells) lost out to Paul Moran (Kildare). In Intermediate Doubles Ciaran Neary / Brendan Burke (Kilkenny) defeated Ollie Ryan/Dan Fenlon (Carlow) 21-16 21-8. In O35BS Anthony Martin (Kells) defeated Jamie Balfe (Kildare) 21-14 21-15 and in the semi final he defeated Diarmuid Burke (Kells) 21-14 21-16. In the O35BS Final Anthony Martin (Kells) defeated Tomas Lennon (Laois) 21-12 21-4.



Dunnamaggin GAA- Registration for all Members will take place on Saturday 22nd Feburary in St.Eoghans Centres,Kilmoganny @ 7.30pm and Sunday 23rd Feburary @ 11:30am in St.Leonards Hall,Dunnamaggin. Only Reg forms required for NEW members in 2020. So there will be no mail drops this year to existing members. Membership fees remain the same as last year.


Dunna Dash - This years Dunna Dash 5km family fun run and walk in aid of St.Leonard's National School will take place on Sunday 1st March at 12:30. Registration will be open from 11:30am in the school. This year we have added in a Kiddies 1km Dash for all those from 3rd class down . This will start at 12:15pm and all children will receive a medal on the day for taking part.


Free Book Shop open in Kilmoganny Centre on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10.30am to 12.30.Take one-leave one. Everybody welcome.Tea/Coffee/Chat. Reading Knitting,Art /Crafts,Poetry.etc. Anything goes, just come along.



Dunnamaggin Parish Development Group: An Art Group takes place every Tuesday evening in the Old School Dunnamaggin from 7.00 - 9.30pm. All levels of experience or none are welcome as the purpose of the group is to come together to share techniques and knowledge of painting on canvas. Dunnamaggin Mr and Mrs: took place last Saturday night when Townsend's Pub was transformed into a Love Shack for the night. Five brave couples put themselves forward to win the coveted title of Dunnamaggin's most loved up couple. Congratulations to the brave contestants: Winnie and Michelle: Gerry and Mary: Kevin and Martina: Lucy and Emily, and Lisa and Andrew. Willie Kearney, as usual, was a superb compere and much fun was had before Gerry and Mary O'Connor were crowned winners and received their trophy along with a Select Hotel Voucher worth €100. In second place were Emily and Lucy who were presented with a Zuni voucher for €50 and a bottle of wine. Make sure you pencil in the Saturday night of Valentines weekend 2021 to see if Gerry and Mary retain their crown.


Enrolments are now open for St. Leonards National School Dunnamaggin for September. Forms are available in the school and need to be returned by Feb. 28th.
