KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday November 9th were: 1st: Mary Delaney & Margaret Dunne; 2nd: Rita Townsend & Jackie Kenneally; 3rd: Nellie Lahart & Moire Hickey. These results were identical to the previous week. What are the odds on such results?   Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome and it is not necessary to have a partner as one will be provided on the night.

KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: In the County 60 x 30 Adult championship in the Senior Singles Brian Manogue (Kells) gave a walkover due to injury to William Love (Clogh); in the Senior Doubles Diarmuid Burke and Brendan Burke (Kells) defeated Shane Dunne/Padraig Cooney (Clogh); in the Intermediate Singles Anthony Martin (Kells) received a walkover from Shane Dunne (Clogh). The 40 x 20 Interclub championship has commenced and Kells have a Junior and Open Team entered.  The Kells Junior Interclub Team received a walkover from Coolboy, Co. Wicklow but lost out to Monavea, Laois.  The Team was C.J. Delaney, Anthony Martin, Eoin Brennan, Conor Condon and Conor Murphy. Hard luck lads but well done on your participation.


 


 


DUNAMAGGIN GAA CLUB A.G.M.: Dunamaggan Hurling Club will hold its AGM in St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunamaggan on this Friday 18th November at 8.00 p.m. All club members are invited to attend. Kilmoganny Football club’s AGM usually precedes the Hurling AGM.


 


THE MONTHLY MASS for Children who will receive their First Holy Communion next April/May will be celebrated on next Sunday in St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan. As this is the month of November the children will bring a dead leaf as a reminder and symbol of their deceased relatives and friends.


 


 MASS OF REMEMBRANCE: The annual mass in remembrance of relatives and friends of people of Dunamaggan Parish was celebrated last Friday evening at 7.30 p.m. Each Family lit a candle and placed it on the Altar at the Offertory of the mass and then brought it home as a memory of their loved ones.
