KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 1st February were: 1st: Margaret Dunne & Mary Delaney; 2nd: Carmel O’Sullivan & Margaret Grace: 3rd: Eileen Grace & Therese Walsh. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome and partners will be provided if necessary.

KELLS HANDBALL CLUB:  In the County Juvenile 40 x 20 championships Kells were represented in the Boys U 10 singles by Ciaran Hickey and Conor Lawton  (Kells); in the Boys U 11 Singles by John Hayes and Cathal Buckley (Kells); in the Girls U 10 Singles by Mia O'Connell and in the Girls U 11 Singles by Katie Grace and Sal Ryan.  Well done to all for participating.


In the Leinster Juvenile 40 x 20 championship quarter finals in the Boys U 17 Singles Michael Power (Kells) was defeated by Cillian Hogan (Kildare) and in the Boys U 17 Doubles Colin McKenna (Kells)/Shane Cullen (Windgap) defeated James Bowden/Cian Gough (Kildare).


In the Adult 40 x 20 League Division 3 final Michael Power (Kells) lost out to Wesley Smyth (Windgap) in the 3rd game.


 


OSSORY DIOCESAN PLAN: Gemma Mulligan, the Ossory Diocesan Coordinator spoke at all weekend masses in the parish last Sunday. She gave a brief outline of the process which lead to the Plan which has nine points. Copies of the diocesan plan were distributed to all after each mass. There will be a special meeting on Thursday 16th February in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny at 8.00 p.m. to which all members of the parish are invited. This meeting will give every person the opportunity to influence the future direction of Church Planning in the Diocese.


 


BLESSING OF THROATS: The annual blessing of throats took place on the Feast of St. Blaise, 3rd February, and at weekend masses.
