Kells Handball Club Report to September 8th 2019 Feile NaGael 60 x 30 championships took place in Wexford venues. Kells Handball Club players Adam O’Sullivan, Cathal Buckley, John Hayes, Noah Manogue and Ross O’Neill competed in Division 1. They defeated Clogh 28-26, lost out to Loughmacrory 35-22, defeated Taghmon, 40-14, defeated Friary Abbeyside 29-28 and drew with Moycullen. On adding up the points per win, Kells went into the Final but lost out to Loughmacrory. This was an excellent achievement with the lads taking home silver medals at their first 60 x 30 Feile championships. Very well done to everyone, their parents, coaches and mentors.



Community Gathering: The Old School in Dunnamaggin will again host a Community Gathering on Sunday September 15th after 10am mass. Pancakes is the theme this Sunday. Come along before you head to the Craft Market in Kells for Tea - Coffee - Pancakes and a catch up with neighbours and friends. Organised by Dunnamaggin Parish Development Group.



Kells Market at Mullins Mill is back this Sunday 15th September. We will be celebrating the Harvest Season with Free Apple Pressing. Just bring your apples and containers for your free apple juice. Along with our regular traders we will also have some new including more home baking crafts and artists. Tea and Coffee available all day. Starts at 11am and finishes at 4pm.



Public Meeting 'A Vision for Dunnamaggin Parish' facilitated by Kilkenny LEADER Partnership will take place in The Old School, Dunnamaggin on Tuesday September 24th at 7.30pm. Please come along with ideas on how you see Dunnamaggin Parish develop and thrive in the future. The meeting is open to the public, individuals of all ages from all parts of the parish are encourage to come along and have their say. From this meeting a 3 to 5 year draft plan for the future development of Dunnamaggin will be complied.



Dunnamaggin GAA Team sponsorship: Ahead of the recommencement of their league and championship the Dunnamggin Minor hurling team were recently presented with a new set of jerseys from local business man John Shiel of Abbey Interiors. The club are very grateful to John for his sponshorship.

'Keeping it Delightful' Kilmoganny Community Coffee Morning 10.30am-1.00pm Tuesday September 24th.
This coffee morning is becoming increasingly popular with more people staying longer. There is still room for more so do come along and find out what happens.
As with all community events volunteers are always needed. If you are free to help to serve the tea and coffee, to help set up the hall or to clear away at the end of the morning please turn up and introduce yourself. You will be warmly welcomed.
Donations of homemade treats both sweet and savoury, fruit and other healthy snacks would greatly add to the 'delight' of the morning.



Wear Amber to back Amber Women's Refuge for their inaugural 5K family fun run which takes place on Sunday, September 29th at the Castle Park 11am start. Entry for adults is €15 and €5 for children, dogs on leads are welcome. This is for all the family, please get everyone out for some exercise and fresh air in the beautiful Castle park. Warm up provided by Paul Nolan Fitness trainer. Refreshments will be provided. Registration online at Eventbrite or on the morning from 10am at the side gate by Bennetsbridge road to the Castle Park
