Kells Handball Club Report to November 17th 2019 In the County 60 x 30 championships in the JBS semi final Robert Dowling (Mothel) defeated Cillian Lawrence (Kells); in the Junior B Doubles semi final Robert Dowling/Mark Dowling (Mothel) defeated Cillian Lawrence/Steven Doheny (Kells) and in the JBD Final Donal O’Farrell/David Lafford (Kells) defeated Robert Dowling/Mark Dowling (Mothel) in 2 games; in Junior Doubles Jack Doyle/Padraig Foley (Windgap) defeated Dan Breen/Conor Condon (Kells); in the Senior Singles semi final Brendan Bourke (Kells) lost out to William Love (Clogh); in the Senior Doubles semi final Diarmuid & Brendan Burke (Kells) defeated Daniel & William Love (Clogh) but lost out in the Senior Doubles final to Ciaran Neary/Canice Quigley (Talbots Inch).




Dunnamaggin Parish Development Group's new Art Group takes place on Tuesday evenings in the Parish Hall Dunnamaggin 7.00 - 9.30pm. All levels of experience or none are welcome as the purpose of the group is to come together to share techniques and knowledge of painting on canvas. Keeping it Delightful Kilmoganny Community Coffee Mornings: 10.30 am Tuesday 26th November and 10.30 am Tuesday 10th December. Everyone welcome. Donations of sweet and savory 'goodies' much appreciated.


Dunnamaggin Christmas Market Dunnamaggin Parish's First Official Christmas Market takes place on Sunday December 1st from 10.30am to 4pm in The Old School. Lots of local art,craft and food producers will be there on the day with a Gigantic Christmas Raffle and an on site Teashop.



December 5th a Flower Arrangement Demonstration fundraiser for St Josephs Home takes place in The Old School Dunnamaggin with Betty Holden. €10 entrance at the door includes a door prize, mince pie and tea. A raffle will take place for the arrangements Betty produces. Come along, get ideas for your Christmas Table and support a great cause.



Dunnamaggin Hurling Club AGM: The AGM of the Dunnamaggin Hurling Club will take place on Friday 6th Dec 2019 @ 8pm in St.Leonards Hall, Dunnamaggin.

Christmas is a time of year that has come to mean many different things for different people, but often it’s a difficult time with the family and financial problems it can bring. Whatever our spiritual background and however we feel about Christmas, we are surrounded by it! In this half day workshop we will support each other in looking at how we may be affected by the different aspects of the festival, including: personal values, money worries, relationships, loss, eating/ drinking too much and facing the New Year, and developing a personal plan to help cope with Christmas.

This workshop explores the key concepts of recovery and will identify what it means to you. Through discussion, conversation and shared learning, participants will learn practical tips and tools to enable you to start participating and progressing in living the life you want.
