Senior Football League Semi -Final Vs Railyard

The Kilmoganny Senior footballers faced reigning county champions Railyard in the Kilkenny Senior Football league semi-final played on Sunday in Dunnamaggin. In a hard fought game where scores were hard to come by, Kilmoganny started brightly with a point from David Herity. Then following a great move out of defence that was worked up the field, it then was confidently finished to back of the net by Ronan Coffey. With further points by David Herity and Kieran Bergin, Kilmoganny led by 1-03 to 0-03 at half time.
The second half started with a great goal chance for Railyard which goalkeeper Aaron Doherty saved. From then on Kilmoganny grew with confidence and increased their lead through points from David Herity(2), Ronan Coffey, Tommy Maher and Mark Dowling. A great defensive performance held Railyard to 0-02 points in the second half.
