Senior Football Vs Dicksboro

The Kilmoganny Senior footballers opened their championship with a good win over Dicksboro in Tom Ryall Park Kilmanagh on Tuesday night. Kilmoganny fielded without county players Noel Hickey and William Phelan both who are carrying knocks from the weekends hurling action. Kilmoganny got into their rhythm very quickly with the full back line dealing well with anything that came their way. Two goals from Darren Fitzpatrick and a goal from David Herity left Kilmoganny in a commanding lead at half time 3:07 to 0:03. Dicksboro however mounted a fierce comeback in the second half scoring three goals of their own but Donal O’Shea’s goal 10min from the final whistle sealed the victory for Kilmoganny 4:12 to 3:05. They are now into the quarter final with their opponents yet to be drawn.
