Dunnamaggin U12s end the year on a high. Congratulations to Dunnamaggin U12s hurlers who finished the year on a high recently by winning the Tullogher Rosbercon Richie Young U12 hurling blitz. After a year of mixed fortunes, the team saved it’s best wine until last with two great performances on the day. First up were Glenmore in the semi-final and after a lively start, Dunnamaggin pushed on and won with a bit to spare. This placed us in the final against a fancied Mooncoin side. Again, the early exchanges were close and Dunamaggin had a real battle on their hands as they faced the wind also in this first half. However, as the game wore on, Dunnmaggin found their groove and went in at the break six points in front. As expected, Mooncoin came at us strongly in the second half but the Dunnamaggin boys were equal to the task. As in the first game, Dunnamaggin grew in confidence through the second half and had a bit to spare at the final whistle. The Richie Young Perpetual Trophy was presented by Walter Walsh to our winning Captain Dylan Crehan and the panel on the day was Joe Fitzpatrick, Conor Denny, Derek Carroll, Darragh Walsh, Shaun O' Keeffe, Dylan Carroll, Daniel O' Neill, Kieran Buckley, Jimmy O' Neill, Alex Moore, Ger Coffey, Harry Walsh, Andy Hickey, Dylan Crehan, Denis Walsh, Conor Brett and Dillon Wall.
