Lotto
The Parish lotto commenced Oct 1996 & since inception has raised € 461,000 of which the DHC share is € 185,000. The balance supports St. Eoghan’s Centre Kilmoganny, St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunnamaggin and Kells Handball Club.
The above named facilities benefitting from proceeds are forever grateful to the people who contribute Weekly / Annually , and to the Promoters (47 In total) who sell tickets in their own area.
How Lotto benefits you?
- It pays for normal day to day expenses of Hurling Club, Hurleys and Balls , Club Insurance etc.
- Kells Handball Club defrays cost - Insurance & light & heat,
- The Community centres are available to all parish groups for a nominal sum as Lotto pays the fixed costs of Insurance / Light & heat / Cleaning.
The Lotto draw takes place every Monday night at a different Pub in the parish. Tickets may be purchased from a variety of promoters throughout the parish. You may also participate by means of preselect your numbers Pay € 75 for 52draws. All welcome to attend draws venues published in Parish notes / Dkk website .
The ticket cost € 1.50 each or €75 for year (enjoy 2 free weeks by paying annually ).The Jackpot starts at € 1000 and increases by €150 per week until won. Any week that Jackpot is not won a draw for 5 participants takes place @ € 30 each.
Of weekly draws approximately 50 % are preselect. Pick your numbers and we do the rest.
