The Dunnamaggin U8 Hurlers headed to Croke Park on Tuesday 3rd April last as part of the Leinster GAA Activities Day programme. 14 players along with family and friends travelled up to GAA headquarters. They first were taken on a tour of the dressing room and warm up area before they ran down the tunnel, had their team photo taken and onto the famous hallowed turf. Their opponents were the Ballynastragh Gaels (Wexford). The Wexford side were no match for the skill, determination and ability of the Dunnamaggin team and having played 50mins of hurling we ran out winners. The players then got to climb the famous steps in the Hogan Stand and raise aloft a cup to honour their achievements. The day was topped off with the mandatory trip to McDonalds on the way home. A great day had by all. A special thanks to all the mentors for organising the trip and the training before hand.
