U8 Blitz Success in Danesfort

Congratulations to our under 8 hurlers who performed very well in the U8s blitz held as part of Danesfort field day recently. We were pitted against Moycarkey Borris of Tipperary in the first match and after getting off to a great start with some early scores, the team won with a little to spare. In the second game, we came up against Dicksboro. While we got off to a good start again in this match with a couple of early goals, a Dicksboro rally in the second half left us fighting hard to hold out for a 4 point win. We then faced Danesfort in the final. While the scoreboard suggested a comfortable victory, the game itself was a tough affair with Dunnamaggin getting the breaks on the day. Players on the day were Tom Lodge, Aaron Moore, Ben Kinsella, Ben O' Sullivan, Mikey Thomas, Shaun O' Keeffe, Jimmy O' Neill, Denis Walsh, Joe FitzPatrick, Ivan McAuley and Aidan O' Neill, coached by PJ O' Keeffe, Richie O' Neill and Greg Holden. Congrats to all the involved on another great win for this outfit.
